Please join us in supporting one of our own. It is our honor to assist Seany Payne, former Hammerheads player, Wilmington Adult Soccer Club player, and coach of multiple youth soccer teams. He has been and an integral part of our soccer community for years. Seany and Tracy Payne are the proud parents of 5 children. Their youngest son, Shay (a soccer prodigy himself), has been diagnosed with bone cancer. Treatment for Shay is in Chapel Hill. This places an extreme burden both financially and of time on the family.
Wilmington Adult Soccer Club will donate all proceeds from the “Play for Shay” tournament to the Payne family. Through playing, coaching, and volunteering his time and that of his family’s, Seany has touched thousands of lives in the Wilmington community. It is time that we give back to someone who has given so much to us.
In addition to this tournament, we have put together a fundraising site to raise funds for Shay Payne. Please check out the site and donate if you are able to. The site can be found by using this link URL: https://www.youcaring.com/shay-payne-575039 or you can go to youcaring.com and on the top right corner type in ‘Play for Shay’ and it will pop up.
